Delicious CHAGA Elixirs – 2 Ways!
Ooooh, how I love Chaga mushrooms! I FINALLY bought a bag of mushroom bits to put into the good ol’ slow cooker on my day off. One of my favorite things about these beautiful, beautiful mushrooms are how well they turn into an elixir. My favorite mushrooms are definitely chaga, reishi, and cordyceps. I whipped up a few elixir recipes that I have made in the past but I actually wrote the ingredients and amounts this time (yay). Under each elixir, I have given a few options for super-foods you can add if you want. Try them out for yourself!
Hot Cacao-Chaga
1 cup coconut milk (or almond milk)
1.5 – 2 cups brewed & strained chaga tea
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp cashew butter
2 tbsp raw cacao powder or small piece of cacao paste
A few pinches pink sea salt
1/2 – 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
Super-food it up by adding any of these additions: maca, MCT oil, bee pollen
Directions: Whip everything up in the vitamix until hot and creamy. Enjoy!

1/4 tsp clove (ground)
1/2 tsp ginger (ground)
Pinch or two of nutmeg (ground)

Over the past 6 months, I have dived right into the world of medicinal mushrooms. I can’t get enough! I’ve been apart of numerous Purica brand trainings and I am OBSESSED with their mushroom products. I trust their quality 100%. Something that is also very cool about them is that they use their Immune 7 mushroom product at the Inspire Health (supportive cancer care center). Note: I am not affiliated with this company. I am just very passionate about their brand and their products.
A few things I love about Chaga mushrooms are:
>> Their immune supportive powers. These mushrooms are so nourishing for your immune system and can help fight off those nasty common colds during the winter months. Try heating it up in the crock pot and sipping on it throughout the day.
>> High antioxidant content. They are also high in vitamin D, vitamin K and many B vitamins.
>> It can help with indigestion and other digestive disturbances.
There are many, many, MANY more benefits, which I will cover in a blog post eventually, so stay tuned!
